As a stakeholder in the Canadian tourism industry, we are closely following guidelines from the Public Health Agency of Canada as well as from provincial authorities.
reStays (Affiliated with Choo Communities), is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence.
We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and by meeting our accessibility requirements under Ontario’s accessibility laws.
reStays (Affiliated with Choo Communities), will provide, on request, information in an accessible format or with communication supports to people with disabilities, in a manner that takes into account their disability.
By the Final Website Compliance Deadline (set for January 1, 2021) reStays and Choo Communities will ensure that, where practicable, any website or content on that site(s) published after January 1, 2012 conforms with WCAG 2.0 Level AA to the extent required by the IAS.
When determining whether meeting the requirements of this section is practicable reStays and Choo Communities will consider: i. the availability of commercial software or tools required to achieve web accessibility; and ii. the impact meeting the requirements of this section will have on projects planned before January 1, 2012.
